The following reports by federal agents suggest that systematic harassment is often used by the Department of Homeland Security on employees who expose corruption. The book, Bordergate, by Darlene Fitzgerald & Peter Ferrara tells the story of how former Customs Agents, Sandy G. Nunn, & Darlene Fitzgerald, were Mobbed out of employment by U.S. Customs management. Fitzgerald's trouble began during one major investigation where she seized a tanker full of narcotics, & her efforts were halted by U.S. Customs management. She wrote, "An attempted controlled delivery of the seized narcotics was thwarted, my help was pulled, and my partner ... and I came under immediate pressure, retaliation, and intimidation tactics on an enormous scale when we refused to shut down this operation..."

When she decided to continue to do her job, she & others experienced severe ongoing harassment. Coworkers who assisted her, such as former agent Nunn, experienced retaliatory Mobbing & were put under multiple bogus investigations. The investigations were conducted by management & the Office of Internal Affairs. They described the investigations as a "concerted effort to silence and discredit" them. These phony investigations used during Mobbing & the Hidden Evil are standard covers used to mask the harassment campaigns.

"When both Ms. Fitzgerald and I refused to back down," said former Agent Nunn "the heat was turned up even further ... both of us were put under investigation, our work was heavily scrutinized in an effort to intimidate and upset us." She continued, "I was given adverse work assignments unbefitting an agent of my abilities and experience [which were] meant to belittle and embarrass me." Fitzgerald echoed, "We were submitted to endless, frivolous Internal Affairs investigations, surveillance by our agency ... and out right threats." She asked, "What does this have to do with National Security?"

When Customs Agents in Laredo California reported that their supervisors were creating false drug-seizure reports in the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS) in order to bolster their records, they too became targeted by Internal Affairs, described the San Antonio Business Journal. Internal Affairs, according to the agents which the Journal interviewed, are used not to investigate claims of internal corruption, but for Damage Control & retaliation. They wrote, "the primary focus of the interrogations carried out by Internal Affairs agents was not to pursue the charges ... but rather to determine who leaked the information to the media... "Internal Affairs came down here to see how much we knew and to find out who leaked the information," says one source. Another source adds, "Internal Affairs had two missions: damage control and finding someone to make an example out of for leaking out this information.""

On July 30, 2001, former Customs Agent John Carman filed a lawsuit against U.S. Customs. He wrote that agents who complained about corruption or unlawful practices are routinely "harassed, retaliated against, demoted, transferred, discredited and/or dismissed." Carman also noted that Internal Affairs is used to conduct "damage control" by causing whistleblowers to be discredited & terminated. When Carman spoke out about corruption in the San Diego office, he experienced what he described as a "concerted and intentional effort" to harass him. He was refused promotions which he was entitled to, had his performance evaluations changed, was stripped of his gun & badge, & believed he was being framed. He was also blocked from obtaining employment as a Private Investigator.

"When my brave associates and I tried desperately to bring attention to this," affirmed Fitzgerald, "our careers were destroyed," & our, "reputations, and personal lives were subsequently ruined. ... We were virtually shoved out on a limb, and Customs managers laughed in our faces." Nunn mentioned, "Additionally, both Ms. Fitzgerald and I, both highly educated women, were time and time again denied employment opportunities." After hiring a private investigator, they determined that they had been blacklisted. She continued, "Both of us were forced to move back home with our parents or be forced into homelessness since we could not obtain employment to support ourselves."

"Our lives over the past 5 years," declared Nunn, "have been nothing short of a nightmare not only for ourselves, but for our families and friends who have suffered along with us." She said that the ongoing harassment was so intense that it caused her father to drop dead of a heart attack. The tactic of timing a harassment technique to coincide with an existing misfortune in order to maximize the trauma, appears to be a favorite. She wrote, "As if that wasn't bad enough, on the day my father died, several managers ... put me under internal affairs investigation knowing full well that my father had just died." Continuing she said, "I was forced to resign my position in protest due to the ongoing retaliation. I suffered bankruptcy and lost my retirement." Destroying a person's finances to promote homelessness is common among targets of the Hidden Evil.

On October 28, 2002 the San Antonio Business Journal quoted one employee of the U.S. Custom's Tactical Intelligence Center (TIC), who depicted a hostile work environment filled with harassment, & retaliatory attacks, which are instigated from the top. They explained some of the tactics used on targets, such as taking away items which are necessary to do their jobs, being forced to repeatedly submit paperwork which conveniently keeps getting lost, etc. Citing a litigation record, the Journal described one woman employee, who claimed that the emotional attacks she suffered were so severe, that they caused her to miscarriage.

Cathy Harris, an Atlanta U.S. Customs Inspector for 15 years, began to protest when she noticed that her male co-workers were targeting mostly black women for handcuffed searches. After this, she experienced an intense harassment campaign. "I almost had a nervous break down," Harris says of her experience. She claims that her work environment became so hostile that at one point she even feared for her life. She eventually lost her job, and nearly lost her home. Former Agent Carman wrote that as a "direct and proximate result of this [harassment] conspiracy ... [he] has suffered emotional distress and mental aguish, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of income and livelihood and other damages." Carman's troubles too began when he reported the corruption of "high ranking customs officials" to Internal Affairs, & other investigatory agencies.

"Additionally," proclaimed former Agent Nunn, "when several of us reported what we felt were significant concerns of misconduct and potential issues of corruption and national security concerns to the FBI, suddenly we as the messengers and the truth tellers became the hunted and the hated. Suddenly, we became the "problem" rather than being lauded for pointing out wrongdoing..." She continued, "Our health has been compromised due to the highly-stressful conditions we've had to undergo. ... We have often likened the abuse we suffered at the hands of these managers as that of post-traumatic stress syndrome." "I can remember," she explained "where I would suffer nightmares and flashbacks of the incidents I was subjected to and wake up shaking in fear of what would happen next."

"[W]hen we finally got or case into federal court, the ... Government attempted to paint Ms. Fitzgerald and I as ... "crazy nuts,"" declared Nunn. But, she added, "Their case never did address the real allegations at hand: Why did the Government allow 25-40 tons of contraband to enter the country illegally and then try to cover it up?" "Additionally," stated Fitzgerald, "these transcripts clearly demonstrate how ... [two] very high officials were both flat out busted lying during this federal trial. Neither official has been placed under any type of investigation..." Nunn described how her boss was never demoted or investigated for lying & covering up, but was rewarded by being promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC). "Clearly," she said, "it is obvious that there is a problem here when someone who so blatantly admits wrongdoing in federal court in violation of the law is allowed to continue his employment as a high-ranking federal law enforcement manager in a Homeland Security Agency."

An articled entitled, Former agents weave insiders tale of federal agency in crisis, appeared in the April 15, 2002 edition of the San Antonio Business Journal. The Journal described how Customs Agents were targeted for severe harassment after launching an operation called Firestorm, which investigated law enforcement & politicians suspected of cocaine trafficking. Like former Agent Fitzgerald's investigation, it too was thwarted. "Less than a year after its launch, in late 1990, the task force was disbanded suddenly," stated the Journal. "The task force, which was composed of agents from several federal agencies, was shut down abruptly because it was getting too close to the truth... All of the key players in the torpedoed Firestorm task force were subsequently targeted by the government for retaliation and had their careers ruined..."(*)

These agents have described receiving attacks such as threats, ridicule, & constant criticism. Attempts were made to discredit them by labeling them as mentally ill. They were forced by management to do tasks below their qualifications to try to destroy their self-esteem. A strategy was used to make them look as though they were at fault. Ongoing bogus investigations were used to amplify the harassment, which was instigated by high management after being triggered by a conflict. The targets had their personal lives & careers viciously attacked, which resulted in severe trauma. They were also blacklisted. These are standard Mobbing tactics. And their experience appears to have all key Mobbing factors outlined in the book, Mobbing.(**) Miscarriages, heart attacks & nervous breakdowns can all result from this type of persecution.

These are just a few examples of how these agencies weed out the decent people. No doubt there are many, many more. What these agents witnessed is part of a standard restructuring process, which occurs when a nation is controlled by the malformed. So it makes sense that they would use Mobbing as their removal method. It seems to me that when these agents joined, they did so to make a positive difference. My guess is that they probably also believed that corruption existed as a small but manageable stream inside a larger healthy system. Instead they learned by direct experience that the opposite is true; that the system is rotten & has only the appearance of legitimacy.

Former Agent Nunn expressed, "I have seen so many lives ruined ... [by those] who abused their positions in the U.S. government... We can either choose to be part of the solution and fix it. Or, we can succumb to this sick pattern of behavior that has infested our national security agencies." There has been an increase in the number of whistleblowers in federal agencies & hundreds of them have complained about corruption. Fitzgerald & Ferrara warned, "There is a cancer growing on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The best and brightest agents we have are being systematically harassed out of DHS."

Not immediately recognizing the public Gang Stalking due to concealment is a typical theme among targets of the Hidden Evil, some of whom were also Mobbed & blacklisted. Some targets were harassed for years before they realized what was happening. And many more are presumably targeted but not yet aware of it. I wonder if these agents received additional public harassment which they weren't able to detect. I also wonder how many of them have physical symptoms that are consistent with Directed Energy Weapon attacks, for which their doctors can find no cause.

* By now you may have noticed a pattern of federal agencies being complicit in cocaine trafficking. In a future report I'll provide evidence which shows that the global cocaine & heroine industry is run by federal law enforcement.
** I'm speaking particularly about the harassment campaign arranged against former agents Nunn & Fitzgerald. But if I were to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the persecution of these other agents, I'd probably find the same pattern.
